The Guild of Healthcare Pharmacists is an autonomous section of Amicus, which is the UK's largest manufacturing, technical & skilled persons' union. With over 1.2m members in the private & public sectors, Amicus is a major industrial force, and represents over 80,000 NHS employees, including the 4000 GHP members.

PCPA is a partner organisation of the Guild, and works with Guild to take forward common aims in professional representation and development, influence, union representation for NHS employed pharmacists, and joint projects and publications. PCPA representative to Guild is currently also a Member of GHP Council.
