The Primary Care Pharmacy Association (PCPA) was established for the benefit of all primary care pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with an active interest in primary care pharmacy. It is the largest and longest standing independent organisation dedicated to supporting pharmacy professionals working within primary care.

We believe that primary care pharmacy practitioners are the guardians of patient safety and welfare, maximising the benefits of medicines and minimising the risks caused by adverse effects.
We believe that primary care pharmacy practitioners are responsible for the education of all primary healthcare professionals, patients and their carers on the safe and effective use of medicines.
We will promote expert practice in primary care pharmacy for the benefit of patients, the public and our members.
We will work with our partners to ensure that the voice of primary care pharmacy is promoted and heard in the development and delivery of healthcare policy.
We will actively promote the sharing of best practice and the advancement of innovation in primary care pharmacy.
We will provide leadership and support to our members.

The Practice Pharmacy Group (PPG) - is a specialist group set up by the Primary Care Pharmacy Association (PCPA) to promote the sharing of best practice and to enable networking and medical education in this expanding area of primary care pharmacy. This group is open to all pharmacists and pharmacy technicians interested in this sector. The group has an expert UK steering group of experienced GP practice pharmacists. Each member of the steering group represents a region and has a GP advocate to support them in their role.

To provide a network for Pharmacy Technicians to share information, best practice and offer peer support to each other; enabling the Pharmacy Team to work at the top of their licence collaboratively across all areas of primary care.
