Helen Williams
National Clinical Director for CVD Prevention, NHS England & SE London Integrated Care Board
Helen is the National Clinical Director for CVD Prevention at NHSE and Consultant Pharmacist and Clinical Lead for Cardiovascular Disease for the Southeast London Integrated Care System. Helen has worked as a CVD specialist for more than 25 years across all care settings. She was clinical adviser to the AHSN national AF programme and developed the pharmacist-led virtual clinic model to optimise uptake of anticoagulation in AF, which has now been spread nationally. Most recently, as the National Speciality Adviser for CVD Prevention at NHS England she worked on the delivery of the national CVD ambitions for AF, Blood Pressure and Cholesterol in the NHS Long Term Plan.
Nipa Patel
PCPA Regional Vice President - London and S.E and Advanced Clinical Pharmacist
Nipa works as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner and Lead PCN Pharmacist based in Surrey and has a special interest in Respiratory, CVD, Heart failure, Osteoporosis and CKD. She also has extensive experience working in community pharmacy, hospital and CCG roles. She is a Royal College of Pharmacy Regional Ambassador for South East. Nipa has a passion for training and education and teaches on the Propharmace Foundation pharmacists NHSE program. In addition, teaches on the CPPE PCPEP program as well as post graduate courses at University. She was a NHS Core20PLUS5 ambassador in 2024 and won the Excellence in General Practice Pharmacy award at the Clinical Pharmacy Congress (CPC) 2023.
