Lead Clinical Pharmacist and Pharmacist Advanced Practitioner
Clare originally trained as a specialist cardiovascular pharmacist in hospital and worked as a lead pharmacist for an integrated heart failure service 2015-21. She has since moved into primary care, working as lead clinical pharmacist and is qualified as a pharmacist advanced practitioner. She has an interest in cardiovascular disease and prevention and pro-active management of long-term conditions and polypharmacy.
Clare is an honorary clinical lecturer, co-chair of the Heart Failure group of the United Kingdom Clinical Pharmacy Association and co-author of the “Competency Framework for Pharmacists and Heart Failure” (Int J Pharm Pract, 2018). She is a member of the regulatory committee of the British Society for Heart Failure.
